Francis Alejandro Cardoso is a well-known choreographer originally from South America, Venezuela. He has been performing around the world for over 25 years, starting his career in the tropical island of Madeira, Portugal. Choreographing and performing in top venues adding instant glitz and glamour to any function.
In Madeira, Portugal, Francis had his own spot on a weekly television show, performed regularly in the island’s top Casino, five star hotels and choreographed all the main events on the island including the Carnival and Flower Festival. He toured South Africa making several television appearances with his dance group, performing in the country’s biggest shopping centres events including Gateway and Eastrand Mall, Casinos and private functions.
Now living in London, England, Francis has performed all over the UK, broadcasted live and internationally including being featured on ITV’s X-Factor’s 2011 series, reaching the last 15 in the over 25’s category and impressing judges Kelly Rowland, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh in his audition. X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos said: “I think he is marmite and I would spread him all over my toast.” Giving him a yes and calling Francis her guilty pleasure. Kelly Rowland said she loved him and Louis Walsh gave him top marks for effort while Gary Barlow said he loved the dancing.
Him and his dance group, Dance Flavourz also reached the live semi-finals of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent 2010 series. Francis and the group caught Simon Cowell’s eye with a colourful show-stopping performance, natural ability to fuse many different styles, from Belly Dancing to Brazilian Samba and Latin to Bollywood. Francis and Dance Flavourz received a well-earned standing ovation from the live crowed and judges Simon, Amanda and Piers. Piers said: “I think you are just fabulous. It’s an explosion of colour and bottoms and all sorts. Everything is just going on.” Amanda told Dance Flavourz: “I just love the attention to detail, there is so much heart and passion in this act. Your act is what it looks like inside my head, it’s fantastic.” Simon Cowell went on to add, “You know what, this was…I got slightly bored of seeing the same kinda act on this show, this was the total opposite. It was all home grown, you put it all together… Absolutely terrific!”
Francis currently teaches Latin Jazz, Zumba, Dance Flavourz Work Out in London where you get to learn from the pro himself! Him and his dance group, Dance Flavourz are also available for bookings all over the United Kingdom and Internationally for Television Appearances, Live Events, Corporate Events, Private Functions including Weddings, Hen Parties, Birthdays, Work Shops and Team Building.
